The Masacril Process

Solution-dyed acrylic technology for awnings, shading and outdoor fabrics.

Solution-Dyed

Color that's part of the fiber, not just the surface

Every acrylic fabric Sauleda produces is solution-dyed — a durable dyeing process built for maximum color quality and durability.

A solution-dyed fabric is one where pigment is worked into the raw material itself, before the fabric-making process even begins — the fiber is colored before it's even spun into yarn. That's a fundamental difference from the more common approach, where fabric is dyed only after it has already been woven.

Because the pigment is added at the source, color becomes part of the fiber from the very start. Solution-dyeing is one of the defining strengths of our acrylic fabric collections, and especially of our Solar Pro sun-protection range.

Design

Design and visual appeal matter as much to us as performance

For 125 years we've been experts at translating the latest trends into striking visual experiences. In sun-protection applications, the fabric is the star — which is why our design center puts every effort into research. Our technicians study the character of each space so our fabrics filter and diffuse light in a way that creates a genuinely inviting atmosphere, giving Sauleda fabrics a high level of visual comfort alongside maximum sun protection.

The result: designs and shades that inspire solutions for every moment. Choosing a Sauleda fabric means having the backing of a major brand and the widest catalog on the market.
